Covid-19 accelerated digital payments

With movement and other restrictions imposed across the globe due to Covid-19 pandemic situation, many retailers and merchants found themselves with little options but to adopt digital payments to meet the significant changes in customer's interaction preference (Read CNBC report on unprecedented surge in demand for contactless payments).

Innovar, a banking and business management consultant firm works with clients in the financial services and IT industries in the areas of scoping, designing, developing, testing and implementing digital payment solutions. Projects in Singapore include FAST, the national real-time payment system and PayNow, an instant funds transfer service using the recipient's mobile phone number or national ID.

Innovar Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based company providing consultancy and business management services to the financial services and infocomm technology companies in SE Asia.

We have extensive experience in the planning and implementation of major online banking applications including the first internet banking service in Singapore, developing a wide range of electronic banking services, providing e-payment evaluation and feasibility studies services and in the implementation of e-payment solutions. 

We supported one of the largest banks in SE Asia in the design and development of its core banking system and worked on a core banking planning project for a major Malaysian bank. We were also extensively involved in the implementation of FAST and PayNow projects in Singapore.

As part of the larger community, we offer pro-bono consultancy services to help selected non-profit organisations  developed their corporate strategic plan, identify areas to improve their organisational capabilities and capacities.  

Established since May 2003, our clients include banks, financial service solutions providers and vendors in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore & Vietnam.
